Andy is a folk rock songwriter in the vein of his influences, Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead. He’s been playing guitar for over 20 years, since he was 15, when he tore is ACL in his left knee and no longer was able to play high school sports. He picked up his father’s Yamaha guitar during his recovery and hasn’t looked back.

Andy moved to Los Angeles in 2017, to further his career and finish his second album. Andy has studied jazz guitar at Long Beach City College and has also majored in Creative Writing to enhance his skill set as lyricist, songwriting, poet and writer.

Andy is from East Lansing, Michigan and moved to Boulder, Colorado when he was 20 years old. He lived there for 13 years before packing up and moving to LA. Andy has a history of mental illness and has done a lot of personal work to over come these challenges and his music and writing often play on themes and plot from his mental health struggles. His determination is making his life a success after some years of adversity and lessons learned from failure.
